Time is interesting, what is a day for you? A complete rotation around earth axis, or from when the sun is at it's highest point in the sky, until the next one? It's not the same, think about it.

Well, the sad news was announced 10 days ago today. There had been rumors before that about what was happening and it was true. Fitbit was acquiring Pebble. Unfortunately not Pebble Inc but just the trademark and the technology. From the point of view of Fitbit I understand, they need a good operating system and it was cheaper to buy a finished one. Pebble Inc was in bad economic state and it would not have been that god deal to acquire Pebble Inc, cheaper to just let it default.

In my Ubuntu Touch Phone experiment I have activated plan b, I have since yesterday reverted back to Android and this is why.

This is the best year yet, and I think that I have said that for tree or four years now. Still plenty of things to complain about but overall everything is getting better for me. Yes, it's once again one of these posts where I update you about my current state in life and it looks like I missed my chance this year to do the normal "new years yearly update" so here it is!

Last post I started talking on my project to try out to use a Ubuntu Phone as my primary phone. I have not that many applications and functions that I must have on my primary phone, I still have Android tablets, my work phone and so on ...

The grass is always greener on the other side, or something. I have gotten really tired on Android, it feels like it’s moving in the wrong direction, at least for me. So I have been thinking about my options, but Apple products are a nogo for me, and Windows Phone is a joke so ...

So I have once again changed things, this time I migrated the blog to Hugo, a easy to use static website engine. I also took the time to look through the archive and there are a lot of broken content, probably from the wordpress to pico migration, need to fix that, some day.

I have now passed the mid-mark of my summer vacation, just a little under two weeks left. Looking forward to being back to work, a lot of interesting things happening at SVTi this autumn. But at the same time It’s really nice to do exactly what I want in the days, dosen’t matter the day or time. I took once again on of these “relaxing vacations”, I needed it.

In my last post I wrote about the last year, it has been a good year overall but still quite stressful. I was thrown into a position of a lot of responsibility and the year has been filled with hundreds of small tasks that I’m trying to balance out.

Hello there, once again a year has passed. It has been an interesting year with new technologies and new a lot of new things for me to learn. I think this year will mark the year when I switch this blog over to English as the primary language, I will still write in Swedish from time to time.

Hej 2014, här har jag inte skrivit mycket de senaste åren, blev tydligen bara sex poster under 2012 och hela tre stycken förra året. Ska se hur 2014 utvecklar sig men börjar få lite lust att skriva igen så vi får se.

Tidigare i år fick jag veta att en artikel som handlade om Stacken var på gång från Jörgen Städje som skulle publiceras i Tech World, han kom och besökte oss på Stacken och vi gick igenom lite historia speciellt från de senaste 10-15 åren. Lite frågor och en bild.

Suck … jag installerade WordPress med hjälp av pakethanteringsverktyget, jag trodde det skulle vara en bra idé då det skulle vara smidigt att sätta upp och få det att funka, samt det skulle vara enkelt att uppdatera då bloggen uppdaterades tillsammans med resten av systemet.

Åter igen har jag flyttat bloggen, nu ligger den på en egen server som jag äger som står i en riktig serverhall. Ser fram i mot en stabilare och snabbare och blogg. För övrigt så jag har gått i från mitt eget hemmabyggda tema och kör nu med temat Mflat. Lite pyssel för att få saker att funka som jag vill, noterade t.ex. att -taggar som går över fler rader blir oläsliga.
